I've been obsessed with music my whole life. Making mixtapes, burning CDs, building playlists long before anyone called it curating. I never set out to become a wedding DJ — people who knew me just started asking, because they knew I'd take it seriously and deliver something they couldn't get anywhere else. After a few weddings, I agreed with them. It was a natural fit, and I've been focused on it ever since.
That was 2010. More than a decade and hundreds of weddings later, I'm based in Kelowna and work across the Okanagan Valley — a region I've called home for over 27 years. The wineries, the lakes, the mountain backdrops, the planners and vendors who genuinely care about the couples they serve — there's nowhere I'd rather do this work. Setting up a ceremony with a panoramic view of Okanagan Lake as the backdrop never gets old. Outside of weddings I'm a husband and a dad — which keeps me grounded in what a day like this actually means to the people who invited me into it.
On the day itself, couples often tell me they forgot I was even managing anything — they just noticed that everything worked. The timeline held, the transitions were smooth, the room felt right from the moment guests arrived. That's not an accident.
Wedding planners tend to book me early and recommend the same to their couples. Not just for the music, but because they know what it means to have someone on site who's already thought of everything. The setup reflects the same thinking — all-white booth, white speakers, clean lines, clean cable management. It's designed to disappear into the room and become part of it. Some couples notice right away. Their planners always do.
From the moment you book, the process is designed so that every musical decision has been made and every moment thought through well before your wedding day.
Most couples tell me the planning felt effortless — not because it was simple, but because the system behind it did the heavy lifting for them.
The details come together through a series of touchpoints between booking and your wedding day. By the final weeks, everything is locked in and you're completely free to focus on everything else.
I've worked at the region's most celebrated venues — CedarCreek Estate Winery, 50th Parallel, Poplar Grove, The Harvest Golf Club, Hotel Eldorado, and many more. I know the layouts, the acoustic quirks, the loading considerations, the vendor teams. That familiarity matters when you're setting up across three spaces at a winery and the ceremony starts in 90 minutes.
The Okanagan has an extraordinary community of planners, photographers, and vendors who hold themselves to a high standard. Being a reliable part of that ecosystem matters to me — easy to work with, prepared, and never the reason something didn't go smoothly.
